Wethersfield police investigating after purse stolen, money withdrawn from Southington bank account



Police are searching for a man and woman who allegedly stole a purse in Wethersfield last month before withdrawing money from a Southington bank account.

On Nov. 19, police investigated a vehicle break-in in Wethersfield where a purse was stolen, according to a post on the Wethersfield police department Facebook page. Around 4 p.m. the same day, a man used the purse owner’s American Express card at a Walgreens in New Britain.

On Nov. 22, a woman was able to withdraw an unspecified amount of money from the owner’s bank account in Southington, the post stated. The woman was driving a KiaSUV

Anyone with information is asked to call Wethersfield police.
