SOUTHINGTON — Panera Bread will begin offering delivery service in town in the spring.

“We are so pleased to expand café-based delivery to our customers throughout Connecticut,” said Tom Howley, Senior Vice President of Howley Bread Group, a Panera Bread franchisee. “Café-based delivery will now be offered at nine of our cafés throughout the area. It’s another fast and convenient option for our customers.”

Panera Bread plans to hire drivers at the Southington location. A job fair will be held at the restaurant, 365 Queen St., on Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Applicants should be at least 18 years and have reliable transportation. Food service experience is preferred but not required.

A Panera Bread location in West Hartford will also begin to offer delivery service.
