SOUTHINGTON — The Greater Southington Chamber of Commerce appointed its interim director, Taylor Crofton, as permanent executive director on Wednesday.
The chamber board hired Crofton as interim executive director in October. Prior to that, she had served four months as the chamber's sales and marketing coordinator.
The chamber’s former director Liz Hyatt left last fall to take a position with Lisa Inc. She was hired two years ago to lead the chamber following the departure of Art Secondo.
Kate Sirignano, chamber board chairwoman, said she was pleased with Crofton’s work as interim director.
“We’ve heard nothing but positive feedback about Taylor from our membership and we are excited to welcome her as our new executive director,” Sirignano said in a statement.
Crofton has worked as an event coordinator for David Alan Hospitality Group in Berlin. Her Practical Energy Medicine business offers coaching, Reiki, angel oracle card reading and mediumship. She is also an expert practitioner at the Positive Living Center.
