Shelton police have charged a Southington woman with stealing jewelry last month.
Kelly Savage, 39, was charged Tuesday with second-degree larceny. She was held on $87,000 bond.
Late last month, police received a complaint that several pieces of jewelry were missing from a woman’s room. At the time, the woman was being assisted daily by home health care workers, according to police.
Police said they linked Savage to the theft and recovered the missing jewelry.
She was taken into custody Tuesday when she was stopped by officers in Groton and was turned over to Shelton police. Savage was also charged on two outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court.
