SOUTHINGTON — A Terryville man faces charges after police said he stole more than $10,000 worth of jewelry from a Southington home where he worked.
Jeffrey Couture, 37, of Terryville, was charged Tuesday with second-degree larceny. His bond was set at $15,000.
Couture is accused of stealing more than $10,000 worth of jewelry at a home where he was doing “handyman” work, said Lt. Stephen Elliott. He also reportedly stole loose change from a jar.
Elliott said some of the jewelry was sold at area pawn shops. Police are working to recover the jewelry.
