SOUTHINGTON — Two women face prostitution charges after they allegedly discussed exchanging money for sex with an undercover officer.

Brandy Milone, 28, of 21 Manhan St., Waterbury, and Darlene Martino, 55, of 108 Midwood Ave., Wolcott, were charged June 19 with prostitution. Martino was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Their bond amounts and court dates were not immediately available.

The charges were filed after reports and complaints of prostitution at local motels, Deputy Chief William Palmieri said in a statement. An undercover officer working with the department’s special investigations unit posed as a customer and contacted several women through various websites and social media.

The officer arranged to meet the women at a local motel room where they discussed exchanging money for sex, Palmieri said.
