North Haven police warn residents of reported ‘gang stalking’ activity in town

NORTH HAVEN — Police are warning residents of ‘gang stalking’ activity that has been reported in town.

Gang stalking is defined as government disinformation and the use of civilian spies to monitor or stalk innocent people, criminal activity such as following or harassing a person, and a systemic form of control, according to police.

“The letters that have been received identify specific people in the targeted neighborhoods,” police said in a statement. “Pictures of vehicles or homes often accompany the letters.”

Police say some letters include website addresses that may attempt to retrieve personal information. Authorities advise residents not to access the websites.

Residents who have received a letter are asked to call police at 203-239-5321.
