CHESHIRE — A local man faces charges after police said he secretly recorded a teen undressing on four occassions.
Carlos Highbridge, 57, of 549 Dogwood Dr., was charged Sunday with four counts of voyeurism and four counts of disorderly conduct.
On Aug. 31, 2016 the teen and her mother reported finding a video camera in her bedroom to a school counselor, according to Highbridge’s arrest warrant. The teen said Highbridge was responsible for the camera hidden in her closet.
Police seized electronic devices and sent them to the state forensic laboratory for analysis. The analysis, which was completed in November, found four videos of the teen undressing dating from July 2016 to August 2016, the warrant said. The analysis also found videos of Highbridge appearing to set up the camera in the closet.
Additional videos show Highbridge engaged in sexual acts with unidentified women, the warrant said. Police noted those women appeared to be unaware they were being filmed, the report said.
Highbridge was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday. According to statements in court, Highbridge was convicted of false statement and DUI in 2001. Highbridge has worked at Pratt and Whitney for 39 years as an engine technician, according to the public defender. The judge set bond at $25,000 and continued the case to Feb. 1. The judge also entered a protective order barring Highbridge from any contact with the victim.
