NORTH HAVEN — A Southington man has been charged in a November robbery of a State Street liquor store.
Jeff Bell, 36, of Southington, was charged Wednesday with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. His bond was set at $150,000.
On Nov. 25, a masked man entered Wine Merchants on State Street with a large knife, Capt. Kevin Glenn said in a statement. The man went behind the counter where two employees were standing, took $900 from the cash register and fled on foot.
Police later identified the man as Bell and obtained a search warrant for his apartment, Glenn said. Authorities were granted an arrest warrant for Bell Wednesday and took him into custody.
