MERIDEN

Powerful Beyond Measure Talk

When: 1-3 p.m., Saturday

Where: Meriden Public Library, 105 Miller St. 

Description: Award-winning author Cynthia Mazzaferro will lead an interactive presentation on how to be "powerful beyond measure." The presentation is aimed to help participants understand how self-doubt and limiting beliefs can have negative effects in one's life and how to overcome them for more happiness and success.

Bilingual Story Hour

When: 10:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday

Where: Meriden Public Library, 105 Miller St. 

Description: The library invites families and children to listen to stories in English and Spanish and participate in games and crafts. There will be light refreshments and snacks.

WALLINGFORD

Super Science Kids

When: 9:30-11 a.m., Saturday

Where: Spanish Community of Wallingford, 284 Washington St. 

Description: For the next three Saturdays, SCOW will host CT STEM Academy and Family STEM Nights for students interested in making inventions and discoveries involving STEM topics.

SOUTHINGTON

Winter Blues n Brews Festival 

When: 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., Saturday 

Where: Crystal Bees, 240 Spring St. & Mount Southington, 396 Mt. Vernon Rd. 

Description: Admission is free to this festival where four bands will perform and an eight-hour flex ski pass is $10 off at Mount Southington.

Ball & Socket Arts Q&A

When: 1:30 pm, Sunday 

Where: Cheshire Public Library, Mary Baldwin Room, 104 Main St.

Description: Learn the history of the Ball & Socket Arts project, meet the Founders and learn about the opportunities the project may bring to Cheshire. On display is also a photography exhibit of the historic windows at the Ball & Socket factory site.
