Police: Wallingford man stole $55k worth of jewelry from North Haven home

NORTH HAVEN — A Wallingford man has been charged after police said he stole more than $50,000 worth of jewelry from a home in September.

Troy Tondalo, 41, was charged Monday with first-degree larceny and offering home improvements without a license. He was arraigned in court Tuesday and held on $50,000 bond.

On Sept. 23, a woman reported about $55,000 worth of jewelry was missing from her Clintonville Road home, police said in a statement. The woman told authorities she recently hired a contractor for home improvements.

Police investigated and obtained an arrest warrant for Tondalo,

Tondalo was previously convicted of first, fifth and sixth-degree larceny in separate cases.
