This weekend you can celebrate Three Kings Day in Meriden, watch a free movie at the Southington Public Library or experience blacklight yoga in Wallingford.

Three Kings Day

When: 1:30-3:30 p.m., Sunday

Where: Meriden Public Library, 105 Miller St.

Description: The library invites community members to come enjoy music from the Cardona family, refreshments, camel rides, and gifts for children ages 8 and under.

January Hike

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday

Where: Hubbard Park, 999 W. Main St. 

Description: Fitness on the Rocks will host a free hike and gather for lunch at Same the Clams after. Meet at the Marshalls in Watertown to carpool to the park.

New Year Blacklight Yoga Party

When: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday

Where: Rise Yoga, 220 N. Colony Rd. 

Description: This 90 minute Vinyasa class is open to all-levels and will involve a loud, soul inspiring playlist. Light refreshments will be served after. Participants are encouraged to wear black, white or fluorescent and glow accessories will be provided. Tickets are $20 per person.

Saturday Mornings with Poetry

When: 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday

Where: Wallingford Public Library, 200 N. Main St. 

Description: The library hosts a meeting of people who love reading and writing poetry. The opportunity is designed for anyone to share their own poetry, discuss literary works and expand their skills in writing and editing poems.

Saturday Anime

When: 2-4 p.m., Saturday 

Where: Southington Public Library, 255 Main St. 

Description: This month, the library will show "The Boy and the Beast," about an orphaned boy living on the streets of Shibuya that finds a world of fantastic beasts.

Adult Loft Knitters 

When: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday

Where: Cheshire Public Library, 104 Main St. 

Description: The library invites adults to socialize, learn and share knitting techniques with other community members. There will be a beginners class and a separate advanced/intermediate one. Register on the library website.

Shubert Backstage Tour

When: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday

Where: Shubert Theater, 247 College St. 

Description: The theater will offer a free tour, geared toward those interested in its history. Reservations are not required, but groups of 10 or more should call 203-624-1825 to ensure space.
