Public libraries throughout Connecticut will celebrate the 8th annual Take Your Child to the Library Day on Saturday, Feb. 2, with free events and activities for children and families.
Local events are planned as follows:
Durham Public Library invites families to come out for Science of Suds, presented by the Connecticut Science Center, drop in crafts, scavenger hunt in the children’s department, and the opportunity to win a Kindle Fire for checking out books on Take Your Child to the Library Day.
The Meriden Public Library plans crafts and a library scavenger hunt.
Plainville Public Library plans an If You Give a Mouse a Cookie party – complete with a visit from Mouse.
Visit the Wallingford Public Library for Chess Club, Big Ideas Book Club and Let’s Square Dance! There will also be book giveaways and make and take crafts for families.
Join Cheshire Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 16 for a Rainbows and Unicorns Storytime and other activities.
