New ambulance arrives in Durham



Durham Volunteer Ambulance announced its new ambulance is online and ready to serve citizens of and visitors to Durham.

According to a news release, the vehicle is a 2017 Chevy, manufactured by Braun. It replaces the 2002 Ford, manufactured by Horton, which had more than 110,000 miles.

On June 9 at Durham EMS headquarters, there will be a dedication ceremony and open house for residents to come take a closer look at the vehicle, equipment and building of the Volunteer Corps.
