Name: Echo

Breed: Staffordshire terrier

Age/sex: 6-year-old male

Weight: 65-70 pounds

Echo is a 6-year-old male Staffordshire Terrier up for adoption at the Meriden Humane Society. Echo’s owner recently became sick and could no longer take care of him. Echo weighs 65 to 70 pounds and loves to go on walks, play fetch and play in the water. He has not been exposed to cats and has no known reaction to children, so a cat and child-free home would be best. If he is introduced to children, it should be done slowly and carefully. With his previous owners, Echo used to go on walks without a leash, so it’s possible he could go without a leash once settled into his new home. Echo is house-trained. A fenced-yard is preferred but not required. Echo has been neutered and is up to date on all vaccinations.

Echo has been up for adoption at the Meriden Humane Society for over a year, the shelter said. To inquire about adopting Echo, visit the Meriden Humane Society, at 311 Murdock Ave., or call 203-238-3650. Want to see us highlight a pet up for adoption at a local shelter?
