Choate Rosemary Hall alum Hilary Knight helped lead the United States women’s ice hockey team to its first gold medal in 20 years early Thursday morning.
Knight scored early in the first period of the gold medal game against Canada. The United States eventually won the game in a shootout, 3-2.
Knight previously played for the United States in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, winning silver medals in each tournament.
