Pregnant woman struck by vehicle on Route 150 in Wallingford

WALLINGFORD — A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital after she was struck by a vehicle on Route 150 Friday evening.

The woman was unconscious when authorities arrived at the scene, 83 N. Turnpike Road, but later regained consciousness and was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, according to police. Police say the woman is in stable condition as of 9 p.m.

Emergency crews responded to Route 150 just before 5 p.m. The woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road with a child, police said. A section of the road was closed but reopened about 6:15 p.m.

The child was not struck or injured while crossing, according to police.
