NORTH HAVEN — Three people face narcotics charges after police say they observed a drug deal in a Washington Avenue parking lot.

Krissie Dellavalle, 37, of Wallingford was charged with possession of heroin.

Jennie Pearson, 21, of North Haven, was charged with sale of heroin, illegal possession of narcotics and conspiracy to commit sale of heroin.

Eric DeCrosta, 24, of North Haven, was charged with sale of heroin and conspiracy to commit sale of heroin.

On Thursday, officers observed a man and woman exchange money for what officers believed to be heroin, police said in a statement. Officers interrupted the transaction and the woman attempted to hide the drugs.

A search revealed 10 bags of heroin, police said. While officers were investigating, a car attempted to flee the area. Police conducted a traffic stop and found a passenger in the car with narcotics and cash.

Dellavalle, DeCrosta and Pearson were released after they posted $500 bond and are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Thursday .
