Man charged on fugitive warrant during Wallingford traffic stop

WALLINGFORD — A Maryland man was charged with being a fugitive from justice on Monday.

Jose Luis Gomez-Tinajero, 38, of 5033 60th Ave., Bladensburg, Maryland, was taken into custody during a traffic stop, according to a police report.  He was held overnight on $250,000 bond and arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Tuesday.

According to statements in court, Gomez-Tinajero is wanted for charges including manufacturing of narcotics, possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He waived extradition and will be returned to Maryland.
