The metal community rallying around veterans at a fundraising show in Wallingford next month.

Show organizers Jessie May, Tiara Boehm and Jennifer Bachand visited the “On the Record: Music” podcast to talk about the Veterans Day show, on Nov. 11 at Cherry Street Station, featuring the bands Owl Maker, Red Mantis, Blackletter, Nightbloom and Undercliff.

They will be collecting donations for Homes for the Brave. Ten percent of door proceeds and donations from a 50/50 raffle will be donated to the Bridgeport-based veterans organization.

Admission is $5 with a donation, monetary or supplies, and $8 without.

The song featured on the podcast is “Ride with Aileen” by Owl Maker.
