WALLINGFORD — A North Haven man has been charged with two counts of manslaughter in an incident that occurred on Dec. 30, 2016.

While Wallingford police would not confirm Friday the incident with which the charges were connected, four men were shot and two men were killed outside the Oakdale Theatre on that date.

Kyle Hampton, 23, of 20 Half Mile Road, was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree manslaughter with a firearm, and one count each of tampering with evidence and no pistol permit. His arrest warrant was sealed.

Travis Ward, 31, and Jacquan Graves, 20, were killed in the shooting outside the Oakdale, 95 S. Turnpike Road, following a performance by rap artist Meek Mill. Two others were injured.

Hampton was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Friday. According to statements in court, Hampton has six pending cases for charges including theft of a firearm and possessing a pistol without a permit. He has also been convicted of a weapons offense and violating conditions of release.

Bond was set at $1 million and the case was transferred to New Haven Superior Court, where Hampton is scheduled to appear on July 31.
