Teen accused of stealing almost $2,000 in merchandise from Wallingford Walmart



WALLINGFORD — A 17-year-old faces charges after police said he stole almost $2,000 worth of merchandise from Walmart on Saturday. 

The juvenile, who was not identified, was charged with fourth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal trespass. He was given a  summons to appear at Juvenile Court in Middletown.

Police were sent to Walmart, 844 N. Colony Road, for a report of shoplifting around 9 p.m. The teen reportedly stole $1,969 worth of merchandise, according to a police report.
