Wallingford police charge Hartford woman with driving under the influence



WALLINGFORD — A Hartford woman faces a DUI charge after police said an officer found her asleep in a car with two flat tires and heavy front-end damage early Sunday.

Shamiki Noland, 29, of 118 Enfield St., Hartford, was charged with driving under the influence and released on $5,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 29.

On Sunday around 4 a.m. an officer saw Noland asleep in a car parked in a lot at 7 N. Turnpike Road., near Colonial Lane, according to a police report. The car had heavy-front end damage and two flat tires.

Noland failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, the report said.
