NORTH HAVEN — A Wallingford man faces charges after police said he robbed the Exxon Gas Station on Route 5 at gun point last week.

Joseph Arcangelo, 31, of Wallingford, was charged Monday with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.

On Thursday, a man with a handgun walked into the Exxon Gas Station, 77 Washington Ave., and passed a note to an employee demanding money, police said. The suspect fled in a white sedan before police arrived.

Arcangelo posted $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 8.
