Police: Wallingford man charged with DUI struck parked cars in lot

WALLINGFORD — A local man faces charges after police said he struck two parked cars in a lot Thursday night.

Robert Dudley, 47, of 168 North Plains Industrial Road was charged with driving under the influence and evading responsibility.

Police responded to 168 North Plains Industrial Road around 7:30 p.m. for a report that a driver had struck two parked vehicles and driven off. Officers investigated and learned Dudley collided with two parked vehicles, the report said. Those two cars then struck two other parked cars.

Dudley was found by police in the rear of the building. He failed a field sobriety test, was taken into custody and later released on $2,000 bond. Dudley is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on July 19.
