Wallingford woman charged with DUI after being found asleep in car

WALLINGFORD — A local woman faces a DUI charge after police said she was found asleep in her car in downtown early Sunday morning.

Rose Henyard, 28, of 48 Allen Ave., was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 

An officer in the area of Quinnipiac Street and Route 5 saw Henyard asleep inside her vehicle around 5 a.m , according to a police report. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. 

Henyard was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on June 29.
