Public works employee injured by jack stand

WALLINGFORD — A public works department employee working on a plow Wednesday refused treatment after he was injured by a jack stand.

The incident was reported about 1:30 p.m. at the public works department, 29 Town Farm Road. The employee was reportedly conscious and alert when first responders arrived.

Public Works Foreman Steve Palermo said the employee refused treatment.
