WALLINGFORD — Hundreds of electric division customers in the area of East Center Street are without power while crews repair power lines damaged by trees Wednesday night.
Director of Public Utilities Rick Hendershot said the damage to the lines and poles was significant. He estimated power would be out until 8 or 9 p.m.
Hendershot said the electric division rerouted power around the segment being worked on to the best of their ability. Preparation work was done beforehand to reduce how long customers would be without power.
