WALLINGFORD — A town native is serving with the Navy at the branch’s largest base in the world.
Raymond Marquis works as a sonar technician aboard the USS Forrest Sherman, a destroyer at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia. In his role, he operates and maintains sonar systems.
“The Navy has taught me to remain flexible,” Marquis said in a statement. "It allows you to adapt to any situation whether it's your environment or anything else you encounter."
