Driver injured after crashing into Yalesville plaza

WALLINGFORD — One person suffered minor injuries after crashing into a plaza on Route 150 in Yalesville  Wednesday afternoon.

A station wagon struck the foyer of a building that connects multiple businesses at 315 Main St., including Ferrauolo’s Place, just before 2 p.m., according to fire officials. The driver was taken to MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

Ferrauolo’s Place advised customers on its Facebook page that the business will remain open for regular hours in the near future. The breakfast and lunch eatery is normally open from 6:30 a.m. to noon.

“We will be open for business like any other day! Please park around back and come in the back door. There’s a huge parking lot in back. Sorry for any inconvenience,” the post read.

The town building department and police also responded.
