Abrams for state Senate
Mary Daugherty Abrams, endorsed Democratic candidate for the 13th state Senate District, is the most qualified candidate for this district. Abrams has been a life-long resident of her hometown here in Meriden. She graduated from Maloney High School and attended Southern Connecticut State University, where she obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She then spent the next 35 years actively involved in public life, first as a special education teacher, then as a director of special education and finally as a high school principal assistant. During that time, Abrams received the Educational Leadership Student Award for Excellence in Practice.
I am a 21-year-old college student who, like Mary, grew up and lived in Meriden all my life. She knows the day-to-day struggles which this district faces, but she also has seen the progress and growth which has developed here. If elected, I know Mary will dedicate her time in office to her constituents. She will advocate for growth and new sources of revenue to ensure the burden is lifted off the backs of the working-class people. She will address the diverse needs across the district and, above all, she will be a champion for education, as she has dedicated most of her life to it.
Mary Daugherty Abrams is the most qualified candidate for Connecticut’s 13th state Senate District. She has the experience, passion, dedication and whole-hearted qualities represented by the people throughout the 13th. This district deserves Mary’s visions and values. Thank You.
