CHESHIRE — The Cheshire boys basketball team capped its regular season Tuesday with a 67-47 SCC crossover victory over Shelton on Senior Night.
Cheshire carved out a 33-24 lead by halftime, then extended it with a 19-11 third quarter.
The Rams, with their trademark balance, put three players in double figures: Aidan Godfrey (17), Ben DeLaubell (14) and Matt Rosadino (13). James Pettit added nine points.
Brian Berritto had a game-high 23 for the Gaels.
Cheshire heads to the postseason at 11-9 overall. Shelton’s season ended at 3-17.
Middletown 73, Platt 60: Tre Carter had a game-high 19 points for the Panthers in the CCC South-Colonial Division defeat in Middletown.
Carson Coon added 12 points and Justin Radford had 11 for Platt (1-17). Malcolm Andrews finished with nine.

SCC Tournament: Pairings were released Tuesday night, and they have Lyman Hall and Cheshire on the road for Thursday’s first round and Sheehan at home.
The Titans, seeded No. 8, welcome No. 9 Jonathan Law at 6:30 p.m. Lyman Hall, meanwhile, travels to Woodbridge to face Amity. The Trojans are the No. 12 seed, the Spartans the No. 5. Tip-off there is at 6 p.m. Cheshire, at No. 12, visits No. 3 Hand for a 6 p.m. start. Sheehan will host Saturday’s quarterfinals, which open at 11 a.m. with No. 1 Mercy facing the Sheehan/Law winner. Lyman Hall will play at 12:45 if it wins on Thursday, Cheshire at 4:15. No. 2 East Haven faces the survivor of Hillhouse and Career at 2:30.
The conference semifinals are Monday in Milford at Jonathan Law starting at 6 p.m. East Haven hosts the championship game next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
