Sheehan backcourt blitzes Foran



MILFORD – Sheehan freshman Jack McDonnell drilled a 3-pointer with four seconds left in regulation Wednesday to pace the Titans past Foran 72-64 in an SCC interdivisional overtime tilt at the Platt Tech Holiday Tournament.

McDonnell poured in a team-high 22 points for Sheehan (1-1). Senior guard Austin Lee and sophomore guard Garrett Molampy scored 14 points apiece. Senior forward Brett Gill chipped in with eight .

Foran (1-3) was led by the duo of 6-foot-3 center Todd Gentley (25 points) and Victor Rios (21).

Wilcox Tech 75, Innovation 65: D.J. Ransom scored 32 points including seven in overtime to pace the Indians on the road.

Will Pawlik scored 13 and Nick Milslagle had 12 for Wilcox (3-1). Linwood Hazelwood led the New Britain-based magnet school with 23.

Innovation is 1-2.

Rocky Hill 64, Platt 53: Tre Carter scored 18 points but the Panthers fell to 0-4 in an interdivisional CCC clash in the NOrth Haven Holiday Tournament.

Desmond Davis added 11 and Roemello Leary nine for Platt.

Rocky Hill (2-1) got balanced scoring from Andrew DiMatteo (16), Ryan Robinson (15) and Riley Donovan (13).

Brien McMahon 74, Maloney 57: Damien Pantoja scored 20 points and Romello Samuels added 19 for the Spartans in a non-conference loss at the McMahon Holiday Tournament in Norwalk.

Junior Anthony Forbes chipped in with 10 points for Maloney (1-2).

Justin Lebron paced McMahon (1-2) to its first win of the season with 20 points.
