Suski (so. diving).■Key newcomers: Southington has added 11 athletes expected to make an immediate impact, including freshman Jackson Malsheske.■Outlook: ”Our team overall goal this year, as it is each year, is to advance as many athletes to the state tournament as possible,” Tuttle said. “Although the winter swim season is the longest season of any high school sport, we aim to make it as long as possible by advancing as far as possible. We have a strong core group of student athletes who have been working tirelessly in the off season to make this season their best yet.”■Of Note:  Egan and Bender were State Open qualifiers. Wakefield, Holbrook and Kimmell were Class LL qualifiers. All-State), Joey Cannata (jr. Open qualifer), Sam Hanke (so. state finalist).■Promising newcomers: Cristopher Gessman will return to the board for his senior year after taking last year off to focus on gymnastics. The Rams have a promising freshman class.■Outlook: “This year will be a rebuilding year for the team, our performance this year will be determined by how hard we work at practice,” Reeder said.■Of note: Ben Brewer projects as Cheshire’s best swimmer due to his versatility. Zellner (jr., backstroke/free), Andrew Buehler (jr. diver), Adam DiDomenico (jr. backstroke), Adrian Gorczyca (sr. backstroke), RaynaEsch (jr. breaststroke), Joe Stone (jr. breaststroke), ZachSilvestri (so. diver), Logan Adams (jr. diver).■Promising newcomers: Joey Zellner (fr. breaststroke).■Outlook: The Titans, with a deep roster of 26, are gunning towards the SCC Division II crown after finishing second to Hamden last year. Sheehan is also eyeing a higher finish in Class S after placing third in the state meet last winter. “Our goals are lofty, but we are going for it this year,” Cargan said. “We only want to go up and we think we can do it.”
