Students decorate Wallingford hydrants ahead of celebration

WALLINGFORD — Members of the Interact Club at Sheehan High School painted a fire hydrant on Center Street Tuesday as part of a decoration project for Celebrate Wallingford and also a fundraiser for Project Graduation.

They painted the hydrant with an American theme as it was sponsored by Bank of America. Other hydrants along Center Street have been painted as well for Celebrate Wallingford as a fundraising project for Project Graduation.

Celebrate Wallingford is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
