Memorial Day Celebration at Meriden Center

Overcast skies did not dampen spirits, patriotism or pride as Meriden Center commemorates Memorial Day with a celebration.

Meriden Center was the scene of a Memorial Day Celebration on Friday, May 23. Red, white and blue was the theme of the day as residents, families, staff and guests from the Meriden Senior Center gathered for a traditional picnic. Patriotic music by entertainer Tony Rarus fueled the crowd’s enthusiasm as about 60 guests joined residents to celebrate.

Ana Gonzalez was the happy raffle winner of a summer gift basket. The weather held out just enough to allow people to enjoy the festively decorated patio if they preferred to dine outside. A great time was had by all.
