CHESHIRE — Goodrich Corp. of Charlotte, N.C. has signed a deal with J.F. Lehman & Co. to buy AIS Global Holdings LLC for about $375 million, according to company statements.

AIS deigns and produces 'gun hard' sensors and navigation systems, as well as spinning-mass gyroscopes. The company employees 800 workers in the state, Ohio, New Jersey and the United Kingdom.

Goodrich is a publicly-traded aerospace, defense and homeland security services and systems provider. It has plants in North Carolina and Vermont.

Goodrich officials expect AIS sales to reach $180 million in 2009.
