SOUTHINGTON —Apple Valley Woodworks, a local cabinet maker was approved for a $750,000 low-interest loan for new equipment, according to an announcement from Gov. M. Jodi Rell.
The Connecticut Development Authority recently approved more than $1 million in direct loans for Apple Valley Woodworks and Connecticut Valley Bindery of New Britain.
The loan will allow Apple Valley Woodworks to install new equipment and software that will reduce both production costs and turnaround time.
The loan will also allow the company to bring its number of employees up from 91 to 100, according to the press release.
