Southington firm faces $50,000 OSHA fine

SOUTHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued fines totaling $50,250 to the utility equipment maintenance contractor Midsun Group Inc.

The fines were in relation to work done in Naperville, Ill. area involving painting of transmission poles. While doing the work employees could have been electrocuted from working near ungrounded transmission lines and in a bucket truck that was not rated to do that type of work.
