MERIDEN - A local man is facing weapons charges after police said he pulled out a gun Tuesday afternoon during a domestic dispute on Cook Avenue.
Eddy Cartagena, of no known address, was taken into custody around 6:30 p.m. after an incident at 32 Cook Ave. He is facing charges of criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, carrying a dangerous weapon and breach of peace and will be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court later today.
Cartagena, 26, had been staying in Meriden according to police, but has been known to travel between area communities. He was involved in a domestic dispute at the time he pulled the gun, police said.
He has pending cases out of several other towns including drug and larceny charges in Branford.
