Police check report of shots and find bullet holes in house


MERIDEN — Police investigating a report of gunshots in the Gracey Avenue area early Tuesday morning discovered bullet holes in the side of a home.

Sgt. Darrin McKay, police spokesman, said officers were dispatched to Gracey Ave on Tuesday about 12:20 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Officers attempted to speak with witnesses, but did not get a lot of cooperation, McKay said. No shell casings were found, but after investigating detectives discovered a couple of rounds had struck a home, though police aren’t sure if the bullet holes are related to this incident, McKay said.

The homeowner did not report hearing anything, McKay said. The incident is still under investigation.
