Meriden police investigating shots fired on Cook Avenue

MERIDEN — Police found several shell casings on Cook Avenue Monday night after a pedestrian reported gunshots in the area.

Police responded to the area of 32 Cook Ave. shortly after 8 p.m. Monday, said Sgt. Darrin McKay. Police found shell casings in front of the building.

Officers checked the building and parked vehicles to see if they were hit, McKay said. A witness reported seeing two men running from the back complex at about the same time as the gunshots.
