Car hits pedestrian in Meriden near site of Nov. 3 fatal crash


MERIDEN — A pedestrian was struck on South Broad Street at the intersection of Gale Avenue just before 8 p.m. Tuesday night, according to a Meriden Fire Department dispatcher. The victim’s condition is unknown, and the incident remains under investigation.

The intersection was also the site of a fatal accident on Nov. 3 that claimed the lives of two children and led to second-degree manslaughter and other charges being filed against the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision.
