MERIDEN — A Hartford man was arrested early Saturday morning following a report of shots being fired outside of a local restaurant.
According to the Meriden Police K-9 Unit Facebook page, police responded to a call at close to 2 a.m. that shots had been fired on Lewis Avenue.
It was not immediately clear how many shots were fired.
The Meriden Police Department website showed the incident happened in the area of La Perla Restaurant at 149 Lewis Ave.
Dario Carrea, 37, was apprehended shortly after the incident and arrested on multiple charges, including two counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm, both of which are felonies.
Correa, of 58 Sherbrooke Ave. in Hartford, according to the police log, was also charged with breach of peace, threatening and reckless endangerment.
The firearm was located at the scene, according to the Facebook page.
Shift commanders Saturday said they could not provide further details.
The department’s public information officers could not be reached for comment.
