Stabbing reported at Eastgate Commons in Meriden

MERIDEN — Police responded to a reported stabbing at the Eastgate Commons condominiums on Gravel Street at about 8:10 p.m. Friday night.

Diana Lawler, a resident of a neighboring community, said she saw two men outside screaming at each other on the grounds of the complex. Shortly afterward, police arrived and put both of them in handcuffs, she said.

One of the men was escorted to a waiting Hunters ambulance.

The other was led away by a pair of police officers.

Meriden Police Sgt. Jeff Herget said the department’s detective bureau is investigating the incident.
