The Berlin Bears “B” team completed a perfect 10-0 season, defeating Simsbury 26-13 on Nov. 20 to capture the 2016 Connecticut Youth Football League Championship.

The Bears lived up to their 2016 motto “hustle, hit and never quit” by steamrolling opponents throughout the four-month campaign. Over the course of the 10-game season, the Bears outscored their opponents 335-68, and secured a place as one of the most successful Bears teams ever.

While all sports teach youngsters positive life lessons; “you can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in life,” said Paul Dietzel.
