Meriden police continue to investigate shooting at downtown bar

MERIDEN - Meriden police said they are still investigating a Saturday morning shooting at a downtown bar.

Early Saturday, officers were approached by people in the area of 105 Restaurant and Lounge, 105 Colony St., about a shooting.

A 29-year-old man was taken to Midstate Medical Center by an unknown person before officers arrived at the bar, located at 105 Colony St. He was reportedly shot in the neck. He was taken by Life Star helicopter to an area trauma center.
