Wallingford sisters who opened Southington home decor store appearing on HGTV show

WALLINGFORD — Two Wallingford natives who opened a home decor business in the Plantsville section of Southington two years ago will be featured on an episode of the HGTV show Flea Market Flip.

Darlene Charneco and her sister Paula will be featured on an epidsode airing Friday at 11:30 a.m., Charneco said in a Facebook post Thursday.

The show challenges groups of contestants to refurbish materials bought at a flea market and resell them for profit. Each group is given a budget of $500 and the winning team is given a prize of $5,000.

The episode will reair on GAC on Aug. 27 at 8 p.m.

Charneco and her sister opned 2 Sister’s Design at 780 South Main St. in Plantsville two years ago, she said. The business offers painted furniture, home decor, interior decorating and other products.

The episode featuring Charneco and her sister is the sixth epidsode of the show’s 10th season.
