One person injured in downtown Meriden crash

MERIDEN — One person was treated for non-life threatening injuries following a two-car crash Saturday at the intersection of West Main Street and Grove Street.

Sgt. Jeff Herget said the cars collided in the intersection after one driver ran a red light. Both drivers told police they had a green light. Police are investigating.

The crash was reported about 1:30 p.m.

Access between Grove Street and West Main Street was closed while police investigated. Traffic on West Main Street was reduced to one lane in the area of the accident.
