Wallingford police arrest 11 as part of ongoing drug investigation


WALLINGFORD — Police arrested 11 people as part of an investigation into the possession and sale of prescription drugs and other narcotics.

Sgt. John Ventura said the investigation has been underway for several months and more arrests are expected.

Carole Smith, 55, of 58 Overbrook Road., North Haven; James Bennett, 46, of 43 Valley St.; David Desjardins, 44, of 26 South Side Terrace; Bryan Scranton, 25, of 14 Martin Trail; Dustin Palmer, 26, of 584 Woodhouse Ave.; Leona Foreman, 29, of 126 Springdale Ave, Meriden; Jennifer Cote, 33, of 168 Stonecrest Dr., Bristol; Jason Leachman, 27, of 185 Lincoln St., Meriden; and Daniel Oslander, 26, of 72 Myrtle St, Meriden; all face charges including possession of narcotics.

Nelson Torres, 44, of 257 Zion St., Hartford faces charges including third-degree burglary, reckless burning and first-degree criminal mischief.

Mostafa Adnane, 52, of 166 Stephen Dr., Meriden was arrest and charged with sale of prescription drugs.

All those charged were arraigned in Meriden Superior Court last week.
